Currently we have an opening for a Database Developer at our Orlando, FL site. An integral part of our team, this position will perform tasks that include, but are not limited to:



• Data modeling;

• Establishing data lifecycle, retention polices and data flows;

• Database, SQL, PL/SQL implementation and performance tuning;

• Design, implementation and troubleshooting of the data access layers;

• Ensuring that data architecture can scale with expected transaction and data volumes;

• Analyzing existing database designs, making constructive changes to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability;

• Defining software requirements;

• Designing, developing, and testing software modules;

• Integrating COTS software products;

• Supporting deployment of a multi-enterprise application system.



The minimum qualifications for this position are:



• 8-10+ years of relevant experience;

• Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical and Physical);

• Transactional and distributed systems;

• ORACLE: Oracle 9i/10g experience;

• SQL & PL/SQL including query plan analysis, debugging and tuning;

• Oracle performance tuning and scaling;

• Knowledge of Oracle diagnostic tools;

• J2EE development (Javascript, Java, HTML);

• Enterprise Java Beans (eJB), Java Beans, Servlets;

• WebServices development, XML (SOAP);

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited institution;

• Must work well with the related technical, research, and program teams and have proven leadership skills;

• Must have outstanding oral and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills;

• In compliance with Department of Defense and Department of State standards related to this work, you must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.



Additional qualifications which would be highly desired are:



• Oracle Application Express (formally HTML DB);

• Data Warehousing design and deployment experience, webMethods;

• Software Architecture and design, Software Planning/Estimation and Lead activities, Maintenance Management/Logistics Work Order execution/processing knowledge, R&M knowledge.
