Join the YMCA in supporting homeless and former foster care young adults (ages 18-24) in learning the skills required to live independently.
Ensures safety, cleanliness, and positive social environment for up to five young adults sharing a residence in Auburn. Lives in the house, supports the residents in managing household responsibilities and monitors their activities. Encourages the transition of young adults to more independent housing. Teams with Independent Living Specialists to teach independent living skills to program participants.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
2 or more years experience in social service, educational or vocational programs working with teens or young adults.
Knowledge and skill in basic home care and yard maintenance.
Strong personal boundaries and ethics.
Ability to transport self and participants in a safe and effective manner.
This is an exempt 20 hour/week position. Rent and utilities are included in the compensation package.
