SUMMARY:
-Manage and direct supervisors and managers in a large medical facility including hospital, specialty and primary care to create a single point of accountability.
-Manage, develop, implement and maintain performance standards and outcomes for business operations in clinics/campuses accountable for in partnership with local delivery system managers and other Delivery System Business Services (DSBS) colleagues and leaders.
-Develop implementation work plans and strategies, including policies and procedure for current systems and in response to new product or system initiatives, compliance and regulatory requirements.
-Lead, coach and develop staff, both front line and team of supervisors/managers. Provide mentoring, performance feedback and team building at in a large medical facility including hospital, specialty and primary care services.
-Manage and control the budget and human resources to ensure proper staffing of departments and training of staff to meet customer needs and support the performance of business operations.
-Be a representative of assigned area of responsibility at committee and/or task force meetings. Lead manager groups and meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Accounting, Finance or
combination of Associate’s degree and a minimum of five years equivalent experience as outlined below.
-A minimum of three years management experience associated with hospital and/or clinic operations with significant business operations experience.
-Experience with financial planning and management of departmental budgets.
-A minimum of two years systems technology experience.
-Experience with hospital and/or clinic information and billing systems preferred.
-Prior experience providing and facilitating a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion and challenging individuals with diplomacy.
-Knowledge of regulatory issues governing healthcare including federal, state, HIPAA, NCQA and JCAHO requirements.
-Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize to respond to multiple demands and timelines.
-Professional presentation to include verbal and written communication skills.
-Knowledge and expertise in all health plan products, project management and implementation experience preferred.
-Proficiency working with MS Office Products such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
-Ability to problem solve, negotiate, and exhibit independent decision making efficiently and fairly.
-Demonstrated team building and relationship skills with a multi-disciplinary team to include team building, coaching, mentoring, and performance improvement to achieve designated outcomes.
-Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a collaborative clinic leadership team.
-Proven track records of achieving designated outcomes, both independently and in collaboration with various service lines.
-Experience with practical and strategic human resource practices regarding employee management.
