The Jewish Day School of Metropolitan Seattle, a preschool--8th Grade community of 300 students located in Bellevue,Washington, seeks a skilled Auction/Special Events Coordinator to support the school's sophisticated fund-raising program.



The ideal candidate is experienced, highly-organized, enthusiastic, detail-oriented and able to positively interact with a wide variety of people. He or she should have excellent computer skills, and be adept at juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Previous auction experience is favorable but not essential.



The position’s primary responsibility is the administrative support of the school’s Annual Dinner and Auction, including:



• Database management & maintenance of all constituents and items

• Item administration

• Preparation, compilation and distribution of support materials including event mailings, reports, letters, catalog, certificates, etc.

• Generation and maintenance of mailing lists

• Day of event set-up, registration and trouble-shooting



The position will also assist with the coordination of other fundraising and special events, provide general office support as needed, and conduct other duties as directed by the Annual Giving Director in conjunction with the Director of Development



Qualifications:



• Bachelor’s degree preferred



• Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, Access, and familiarity with AuctionTracker database software



• Minimum three years’ work experience, with emphasis in auction or large special event support/planning
