Seattle, WA • 08/31/2007

This Baja was seen at WATERWAGENS in the Seattle area on Sunday, July 29th 2007.

1956 Oval Window Ragtop Baja_Built by Porsche-Audi mechanic in Portland Oregon, Jim Krieger.

This Baja has quite a few trick old school things done to it.

-WA STATE TITLE in hand with vintage collector plates. Original punched Oregon title goes with '56 as well for vehicle history.

-One Piece fiberglass front end with off road bars front, rear & sides. Diamond plate on side bars.

-1800cc with dual Kadrons. Bugpack hi-rise manifolds. Porsche rods & pistons. 044 Heads. 356 distributor. Empi Headers with curved Bobcat tip and Spark Arrester. Runs fantastic!!! Little bit of chrome back there too!!!

-Swing axle tranny with welded 1st gear, Short 3rd and 4th gears. Could use new shocks. Beef-a-diff.

-Transaxel built to run awesome BF Goodrich Mud TA's...sized at 31-1050R-15/C RWL Rears...LT215/75R-15C Fronts

-Floor Pan in Great shape, original roller pedal assembly.

-Porsche Speedo from a 911

-Padded Roll Bar

-Fiberglass buckets with passenger seat that Swivels for easy egress. Lap belts

-Comes with tow bar wired for tail light hookup too!

-VINTAGE RARE STREAKER 2 piece wheels...That's right...Streaker Wheels by Rick Goudy out of Long Beach, CA. I actually tracked down Rick Jr. in Paso Robles, CA & talked to him about these special wheels. I have restored them, Nicely Polished by Don Meth from Show Quality Metal Finishing out of Seattle. Backs are super clean as well. I have all the original bolts. Used Snub head Hex bolts that were individually polished and torqued to the correct lb/ft specified by Rick Goudy Jr. See what the link has to say about Streaker Wheels & their RARITY. You might not see another set for sale from what I understand. BRM’s are rare but when is the last time you saw a set of these? Don't ask...NFS separately...these wheels go with the Baja.

This 1956 Ragtop Baja has been seen at the ocean at Sand Lake, Oregon. Also, Baja has been to the ocean near Florence, Oregon and Long Beach, WA.

This 1956 Ragtop Baja has also been seen going on various Cruises, including “Cruise for the Cure” (CFTC) put on by Franklin’s VW Werks out of Kent, WA. Great Cruise, Great cause! Way to go Franklin!

Goes up Snoqualmie pass excellent, lots of torque and it’s geared right. I drive it to work every so often with no problem, right up I-5 with the rest of the commuters. Very Streetable!

The great thing about this car is the smiles and thumbs up you get whenever it is on the road. People just inherently love the vintage bugs as you all know and this Baja is no exception. Comes with tow bar that is wired for functioning tail lights when it’s towed. Trails behind the tow vehicle quite nicely.

Contact me only if you are serious about purchasing this vehicle, we are all busy these days aren’t we? Will only consider CASH or a TRADE for a 1955/1956 Ford truck that is in equally great shape.
