Healia (www.healia.com), an award-winning health vertical search engine, seeks to become the ultimate gateway to high quality and personalized health information and support. We are seeking a creative Health Content Developer / Writer / Editor to help create compelling consumer health content.



In this important role, you will use writing skills and an understanding of biomedical concepts to develop decision-focused and engaging consumer health information for the Web. You will also work closely with the company’s technology and marketing teams to continuously improve the Healia product experience. This is an on-site position based in the Seattle area (Bellevue, WA).



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, edit, and manage engaging and useful online health content including consumer messages, articles, and online newsletters

• Translate complicated biomedical information into plain consumer language

• Conduct Web research to support content and product development efforts

• Develop systems and processes for editorial review and oversee quality assurance of content

• Assist with product development and marketing efforts as needed.



QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, and/or health sciences or related field.

• Minimum two years of experience writing and developing consumer-focused content preferably in health.

• Familiarity with content management systems, HTML, Web applications, and Web design.
