History
In October 2005, three prominent pathology groups merged to provide superior diagnostic services to physicians and patients throughout Western Washington to became CellNetix Pathology and Laboratories. Each group brought over 40 years of experience and expertise, their combined forces creating Centers of Excellence and expertise in over twenty different sub-specialties.
Position
The LIS Data Analyst is responsible for LIS data integrity & data management as well as report writing and general tasks related to the PowerPath Laboratory Information System and its interfaces with other systems. As a member of the CellNetix IT team, this position also provides LIS user support/training and assists with general (non-LIS) IT tasks as required.
Reports to: CIO
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensures data integrity of LIS through:
o Identifying errors and manually correcting data.
o Delegating manual data correction to other support staff if required.
o Monitoring procedures and correcting errors at source.
Acts as first point of contact for LIS data issues.
Assists with LIS support issues and training as required.
Maintains LIS procedural documentation.
Manages training materials/programs & self-help resources.
Works with LIS vendor to ensure quality product support.
Works with consultants on interfaces, reports etc. under the guidance of the CIO and LIS administrator.
Ideal Certifications/Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
Microsoft Certified in SQL 2000 or 2005
Crystal Reports Certification
Required Skills
Meticulous attention to detail (especially with regards to data integrity)
Strong Microsoft SQL Database development and administration skills
Ability to writing complex reports using Crystal
Good general IT knowledge
Good communication & presentation skills
Additional Desirable Skills
Microsoft Reporting Services Experience
Experience working in a LAB or medical environment
HL7 interface management skills
Required Experience
2+ years of Medical Information Systems development or administration in a Windows/SQL environment
