Sr. C++, C#, XML, Protocol Developer
We are looking for a high-powered developer that is up for any challenge. T his team works in a high-pressure environment and needs skilled developers that are able to solve problems quickly and accurately. The Consultant should be a Sr. Developer with C/C++ and C# development experience, intimately familiar with open communication protocols. Some examples would be SNMP, TCP/IP, RPC, HTTP and also Windows Communication (MCPP) protocols, windows server protocols (WSPP) and other protocols. You’ll be working on supporting a live production system by developing upgrades and enhancements and adding automation.
A good portion of the work will be with automated documentation systems which use and manipulate massive amounts of XML, complex schemas and databases to generate very large (50K+ pages) page-layouts, text and image files. The application is a high-volume build system for documents (.pdf) which is written in C/C++ and C# and XML.
Requirements:
* 4+ years of experience coding in C/C++ and/or C#. (ideally, C++ and C#)
* 3+ years of C# background
* 2+ years of experience working with XML
* Previous experience with communications and networking protocols
* Experience with Perl scripting will be highly useful
* Highly desirable would be experience rewriting XML from schemas.
* Should have experience with document prep systems that use text input/output, stores and converts image files, jpegs, tiffs, pdfs, etc. Another application would be e-discovery or technical regulatory compliance documentation such as ISO 9000.
