Operations Project Manager- Windows, Sys Admin, Active Directory, SMS

Do you have excellent technical skills and enjoy troubleshooting? Put your skills to work in a position that will guide customers through testing and remediation of their applications to ensure that they are compatible with Microsoft products and services. Long term vendor position located in Redmond, WA.


Responsibilities
* Provide guidance to customers on the setup and use of managed (locked down) PC test platforms
* Provide guidance to customers on the use of testing tools
* Understand requirements for application testing (scenarios, design, environment, critical path)
* Understand the various (and evolving) methodologies used to allow applications to run in a managed environment
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop test plans and remediation solutions
* Educate customer test teams on how best to test applications in the specified environment; troubleshoot issues as they arise
* Triage all issues/bugs
* Determine remediation solutions for all issues/bugs
* Ensure remediation solutions are implemented in accordance to schedule
* Understand the impact that changes to the design and/or runtime environment have on applications and testing and recommend new testing if needed.
* Document status, issues and risks
* Document lessons learned, product weaknesses, best practices, etc
* Work with vendor resources filling similar roles to maintain consistency of process

Qualifications
Technical Skills:
* Has been a Developer, Software Test Engineer or Software Design Engineer in Test role
* Has application/feature design or architecture experience
* Understands thin (web) and fat (Win32 GUI) client server application architecture
* Understands what it takes to build, install/deploy and run applications for the Windows platform (e.g. NT security, COM, RPC, Networking)
* Understands use case based feature testing (e.g. blackbox)
* Understands enterprise environments
* Is able to diagnose issues relating to applications; Excellent trouble shooting skills required
* Ability to discuss and document deep technical topics to developers and testers
Experience with the following technologies/tools:
