Operations / Infrastructure PM- Networks, Servers, Windows Server, AD
Strong Operations/Infrastructure PM needed for a long term vendor role. Do you have the qualifications necessary to provide project management services for the implementation of a new ConfigMgr infrastructure around the world? Client is seeking 5 years experience in IT infrastructure.


Responsibilities
* Work with the ConfigMgr Production Manager to scope the project.
* Create Project Charter for the project
* Map project stakeholders, key contributors and human resources
* Create a detailed RACI chart for each role in this project
* Create a Communications Plan to be used during the execution of the project.
* Create a Risk Mitigation Plan for the project
* Create a project plan, including project schedule, in Microsoft Project 2007
* Set up recurrent status meetings with the key contributors and human resources of the projects with the intention to track progress, map issues and define actions plan and next steps
* Manage the budget assigned to this project
* Be in constant communication and collaboration with the Infrastructure Platform Manager in order to drive hardware procurement, shipment and build out. Be available to supervise all these activities in person, if required
* Facilitate the escalation of issues to the Engineering team
* Facilitate collaboration and communication across the different team members both in Redmond and India
* Document and get approval for changes to the project
* Keep the project plan up-to-date as progress is made
* Facilitate a formal closure of the project
* Document lessons learned

Qualifications
* 5 years+ experience in IT infrastructure (servers, networking, etc) program/project 5 years+ experience in IT infrastructure management experience
* Computer Science degree or Business Administration degree with Project Management major, PMP certification or an equivalent combination of training and experience
* Advanced project planning, project management skills, communication skills and proven ability to drive and deliver on time
* Ability to be self driven and work both independently and in a team environment
* Advanced judgment, problem resolution, strategic thinking, organizational, cross-group collaboration, conflict resolution, negotiation, and decision-making skills are a must
* Strong but collaborative and influential personality
* Excellent written & verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and tight collaboration approach
* Previous experience in projects with Windows Server 2003 and services such as DFS, DNS, File-Sharing and AD
*Familiar with Microsoft System Management Server 2003 or System Configuration Manager roles, infrastructure and features
* Experience working at Microsoft IT, in particular in projects with GNOC, GBOC, DCOPS, GCO and GFS
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project 2007 and Microsoft Visio 2007
* Advance knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2007
* Ability to work under pressure and deal with ambiguity
* Hands-on technical experience is desired but not required.
