Computer Specialist (simulation models)

Job Description
Will modify, develop, refine, and test marine-biological simulation models for NOAA Fisheries. Will incorporate new model algorithms, translate mathematical relationships into C code, streamline code. optimize code to run under parallel processors, update graphical user interface, and produce installation package. Will test model updates and unattended install before and after modifications. Will maintain documentation of model modifications.

Required Skills
4 years experience with modification, development, and testing of marine-biological simulation models. Experience programming in C. Strong mathematical skills.

Education
BS in Mathematics, Physics, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
