Job Title: Project Manager 2.2
Job Description:
The team focuses on Queries Alterations; the Program Manager will analyze the Queries and communicate with internal teams and clients to determine where the queries were malfunctioning. The Program Manager will investigate and make suggestions to make improvements to the queries. The Program Manager analyzes the queries that are received by a search engine to determine methods to improve search engine results. This will include classifying queries into taxonomy and rewriting (altering) sample queries to improve them. Must apply exceedingly high analytical skills, strong drive, and high levels of creativity. This individual will need to work independently for stretches of time analyzing real queries, and devising/creating/hypothesizing methods to improve them, and then communicate/report findings to the larger group. This person must have the ability to determine what web-pages are relevant results for arbitrary queries received in the EN-US (English speaking / United States) market across a broad spectrum of topics.
Position was opened as a Program manager but has changed to a developer focused position. Candidates need to have great Perl scripting with a little sharepoint, excel, and SQL server experience.
Required:
• Perl scripting (advanced to expert) - Vbscript or javascript can be a substitute. Perl candidates have a much higher chance of being hired. Most important skill!
• SharePoint – Administrative (novice)
• SQL – simple queries, ability to pull and analyze data – convert data into Excel (intermediate)
• Excel – create Pivot Tables, charts, and import data from SQL (intermediate)
• Data Analysis
• Program Management Skills – ability to quarry data, investigative mind set
• Cross Group Communications
• Driven
